| 8:37 am Roswell, New Mexico The smell of freshly brewing coffee blends momentarily with plug-in air-freshener, as I flip on the inside lights and glance out the window. Across the street, a converted movie theater houses what is billed as "New Mexicos #1 tourist attraction" the International UFO Museum & Research Center, now recording well over 200,000 visitors annually. The previous tenants are long-gone, but you could say that "Hollywood" still rules there, as well as most of the tiny tourist strip that is downtown Roswell. From here, we spin the story that Hollywood, the local Chamber of Commerce, and world governments alike unofficially want told that in 1947 an alien spacecraft crashed in the desert nearby. The success of this scam has irrevocably altered mankinds worldview, and in the process convinced us that maybe one day soon, we too can lift our collective throne above the stars of heaven. To date, only the words on my buildings outside sign "Every Knee Shall Bow" have been raised up to silently face off the invisible powers and principalities taking their bows from this otherwise obscure, but often spotlighted, corner of the world stage. Most of those waiting for the museum to open are looking mainly for some laughs and photographs before resuming their trek to bigger and better destinations. There are also the precious few who are somehow compelled to travel very far, or go considerably out of their way, to make this stop. The curious gazes of some of those parked in minivans or plopped down on the sidewalk turns to a glimmer of hope, as the red and white OPEN sign appears in my window. Unsure of exactly what theyll encounter if they dare to cross the street at this particular moment, perhaps just the chance to kill ten minutes draws the first few off the sidewalk. Years and years ago now, my own experiences led me to seek out what was behind the UFO phenomenon - as a matter of life or death importance, not just intellectual curiosity. One book, two high-traffic websites, over three years in Roswell, plus travels to more than a dozen UFO conferences later, I now have a "voice" in this field. Ive entertained more guests at my "odd little coffee shop" (as one perplexed reviewer described it) and done more interviews than I can now count. And after much trial and error, I finally know my lines. The "extra-terrestrial hypothesis," as its called, as well as the typical Christian "demonic" explanation for UFOs, are both dead in the water. Ive abandoned both myself. Put simply, neither fits all the facts. Both are close, but no cigar. Since moving here, Ive spoken with numerous other authors, researchers, experiencers, ufologists, and even ministers - debating with some, enraging others, but most importantly, gleaning from them all. I not only talk to these people, I listen. At the Roswell "HQ," one minute Im speaking with a nuclear physicist, the next a team of UFO cult recruiters, the next an average family with two teenagers who just came in for a soda and directions to "the crash site." Of course, they start asking other questions as they look around, and these days I manage to weave a pretty air-tight tapestry for those willing to stay awhile. The story todays guests will leave with is not the one they thought they came for, and definitely not the one the powers-that-be want told. But from across the street they dont know any of this just yet, and they might not really care either. Whatever theyre looking for, or were drawn here to find out, all theyre sure of at the moment is that Ive got coffee. And thats enough. One by one, here they come
They want The Truth.

From the forward "... There is NOT a singular bottom-line truth behind all UFO sightings, encounters, and abductions, and especially no viable, logical end in sight from any ONE position. We are pinning tails onto a chameleon. As soon as we attach an explanation that "fits," the entity itself changes and then runs off! Demons do not explain the reports of men in military uniforms who cannot be rebuked or cast off by "spirit-filled" believers. Tesla and/or Nazis did not build the Pyramids of Giza, nor is their DNA being studied at Area 51. But neither would truly advanced entities travel 90 billion light years to specifically debunk one religion, while at the same time starting many new ones - nor especially put humans like Ti and Do, Rael, or L. Ron Hubbard in charge of them if they did! Each scenario certainly brings invaluable information to the table, but most never look seriously into other views, except maybe enough to ridicule them. As Michael Heisers mind-numbing book The Facade states "Most people dont really want the truth. Theyre just looking for answers that confirm their prejudices." (7) The premise of this book however, is that "either/or" is a lost cause. Either/or promises only dogma, damnation or insanity - or all three. The Western thinker must take a lesson from the dualistic mindset of the Eastern mystic before this journey can even truly begin. We must attempt to embrace "both/and," or perhaps even "all of the above." Several strands must be woven together, strands that will often appear to serve no purpose or produce only loose ends, until the tapestrys true design slowly begins to emerge. ... Theyre not demons. Theyre not ETs. These strands will of course be examined in this book, but they will also be cut off. Genesis 6 will be woven in one hand, and all of its implications angels, hybrids - and oh yeah - those Reptilian bastards too. But the Bible alone simply doesnt cover all the bases here. Sweden is not mentioned in the Bible, and for that matter Ive never seen it either, but that doesnt mean its not real. So in the other hand, well explore the strand of suppressed technologies, secret societies, and the covert race to be king of the world. My challenge as a writer will be to show where these strands occasionally intersect, and where they finally intertwine for good (well, for evil really), their synthesis forming a third cord which remains otherwise hidden. Some portions are sure to seem boring, irrelevant or perhaps even ridiculous to the differing audiences who might pick up this book. Certain people will not want to wade through extensive Biblical references, while others will insist upon them. As I am not a technical person by nature, some will consider the portions relating to UFO mechanics inadequate, but I draw from and will refer readers to more complete works (all notes are listed as book or weblinks from twinstrands.com in fact.) Some will not go for the vastness of the conspiracy theory that is being hinted at here, while for some it will undoubtedly be the best part. But presenting the big picture is what this book is all about..."
