Technology lost in time?

In February of 2002, The History Channel flew Guy Malone to Los Angeles to interview him as part of a special entitled "Ufos in the Bible." Producer Gabe Vandervort sent Malone a list of 10 questions he would like Guy to discuss, the answers to which were typed out beforehand, to rehearse from (which were posted below).

While grateful for the opportunity at first, please note that the special which aired DID NOT IN FACT faithfully represent Malone's answers, but instead merely spliced in certain things said to affirm the flawed premise of the show. Is it possible that early people had complex technological advancements whose secrets were lost in time?

I absolutely believe this was the case. The Bible’s not direct on this point but it doesn’t have to be because we have so much good evidence already from ancient cultures, drawings and other texts. Ancient monuments like Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza have an incredible knowledge of astronomy and advanced math built into them. People think it would have been "hard" thousands of years ago to build them, but the truth is we couldn’t duplicate the building of the Pyramids today with all our cranes and other building technology. But the scientist John Hutchison just demonstrated in 2001 that matter can actually be levitated when hit with high frequency waves conducted through Tesla coils (see this video). This would make lifting a two-ton stone child’s play, or even rendering a large craft weightless for flight. It’s being considered as a possible explanation for how we can break light speed. Now this is no more magic than electricity is, it just requires a knowledge of how the universe works, and according to the ancients from almost every part of earth, ancient gods gave mankind incredible technology. In the book of Enoch (not a canonical text) God even specifies that he was judging the angels because they had shared some of the secrets of heaven with mankind – but not even the best ones! I don’t think they were so much being benevolent or trying to help us though, as they were trying to impress us, and cause people to follow them – either from awe or from fear.

All of this is right before the flood and around the time of Genesis 6. "The earth was filled with violence" the Bible says, and we had become very corrupt. As wonderful as the technology could have been, we were using it to mainly kill each other.

When God judged the world and the angels that first time, we lost almost all knowledge of these technologies, but their traces are definitely still to be found. 8 people got off the ark, with memories of what the world was like, and perhaps some knowledge of the technology, and continued the human family. Evidences of the old world were still present when they were raising children (who were filled with questions, no doubt!). Some biblical scholars today think the Tower of Babel might have been a huge temple, with a certain "arcane" mathematical structure designed for trying to reattempt communication with the spirit world.

The fact that people are again reporting widespread communication with these beings, combined with both the abduction reports and the technology we seem to be receiving from them, brings us again to Matthew 24:37, where Jesus said "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man." I think this means in part that just before Christ’s return, the world will look a lot like it did in Genesis 6.

And I think we’re pretty much there now.
