If you're planning a trip to Roswell New Mexico, it won't be complete without a stop at the historic location where the 1947 wreckage was stored, before being shipped off to parts unknown.

Sci-Fi Channel's re-creation of Hangar 84,
for the Stephen Spielberg mini-series, "TAKEN"

Whether the craft was from outer space or earth... whether the bodies were human or not... where the wreckage is stored TODAY is all hotly debated...

The only thing that is certain, is that EVERYTHING recovered from the region northwest of Roswell in July 1947 was taken to HANGAR 84,
kept from public view, and finally shipped to more secure military bases.

Today, the old army base is considered part of Roswell Industrial Air Center, a private air landing field and training ground for the International Law Enforcement Academy. While the general public can drive alongside the fences and take pictures of the outside, the area inside the fences is still 100% restricted. Going inside the fences without permission WILL IMMEDIATELY LAND YOU IN JAIL, so we don't recommend you try!

Beginning in 2005 however, the managers of the HANGAR 84 complex have agreed to offer permission for very limited access -  not just inside the fence, but inside the HANGAR - to the general public as a fundraiser for the non-profit work of promoting educational UFO Conferences.

Access is NOT available every day, and tours (no more than 30 minutes) MUST be booked and paid in advance.* The cost is $25 for one carload (1 - 4 ppl). You will be allowed inside the fenced area, and are welcome to photograph and/or film both the inside and outside of the Hangar, but you MUST remain in the company of the security officer that grants you access. You MUST NOT leave the Hangar once inside, until your group leaves with the security officer.

Scared yet? Don't be. Be cool, and follow the rules, and your body should make it home okay.

... Unlike those other guys.

To schedule a HANGAR 84 visit, first send an inquiry e-mail using the form at left. If your visit can be accommodated, you will be asked to return to this site and pay the fee, after which you will receive e-mail confirmation to print out as your pass to show the guards, with a cell phone number to call BEFORE driving out there. Once in Roswell, a flyer with directions can be provided to you as well.
