Dear Mr. Jordan,
I found your site several months ago, and I've been meaning to drop you guys a note but haven't had the time. I came to the same conclusion as you guys about aliens and how to stop them several years ago through personal experience, reading, and revelation from the Holy Spirit. I have been a Christian since I was about 12 years old, but as a teen and college student, I had a fascination with UFOs and other such things. I believed that in this huge universe that God had created, He must also have created other life forms out there. Despite my interest, I never had any kind of encounter. Wanted to share with you some of the experiences I had. Sorry this is so long! Too many details over a number of years! :)
When I went to college in 1977 (in Raleigh, NC), I became a member of APRS -- Air (or Aerial??) Phenomenon Research Society, if I remember correctly -- a group similar to MUFON. The summer before I went to college, my family moved from NC to Texas, where my dad was from originally. They lived there for a couple of years, out on a prairie away from town. My family lived there for about a year before moving back to NC. During that time, my parents and brothers encountered huge UFOs flying over their home on several occasions. My dad, who was retired from the Air Force, guessed the UFOs to be approximately the size of two football fields in length. They would sit outside at night and watch the UFOs slowly pass over the house. To my knowledge, there was never any CE4 contact. I remember being extremely bummed that I was not there to witness those encounters. Aft! er all, I was the one who had the "scientific" interest.
Some years later (1985), I was living in a basement apartment in a house in Raleigh. One evening, I was particularly tired, so I went to bed about 11:00 pm and fell into a deep sleep. Sometime in the early morning hours (I had the impression that it was somewhere between 1:00 - 3:00 am - can't remember exactly why that sticks in my mind, but. . .), I awoke and felt a strange sensation I had never felt before. I could not move, and I was lying on my back (something I never do - always sleep on my side). When I tried to move, I got a weird, tingly sensation all over. I also felt an overwhelming presence in the room - one sitting on the other side of my bed. I could not see anything because I couldn't turn my head to the left or right. I remember wanting to scream for help, but no sounds would come out of my mouth. The "presence" in the room was so tangible, I thought at first that someone had broken into my apartment. Then I thought that I must be dreaming, but I knew that ! I was wide awake. I heard my landlady's daughter drive into the driveway and walk by my bedroom window to the house after a late night out somewhere. I tried to get her attention, but I just could do absolutely nothing.
At that point, terror began to set in! The presence in the room "felt" (if that's the right word) dark and heavy, and I knew it was a real being (whether human or otherwise). Note that, though I was a Christian, I had never heard of any such experience, nor did I equate it at that moment with any kind of UFO phenomenon I'd read about. I knew Satan was real, but, again, I had not been taught anything about spiritual warfare, really, prior to that time.
The one thing I did know for sure, though, was the truth that there is power in the Precious name of Jesus. And I knew that I could call that name in my mind even though my mouth wouldn't work. So I pleaded in my mind "Jesus, save me" - over and over again. I continued that prayer until eventually a peace and calm came over me, and I fell back to sleep again.
The next morning, I woke up and immediately replayed everything from the
night before. It was too weird, and I didn't even know where to begin as
far as knowing what had happened, finding someone who knew about such
things and could explain it to me, etc. So I mulled it over in my mind
for some days after that, but I eventually put it behind me and moved on
in life. I didn't tell anyone about the experience, not even my
boyfriend of 4 years, because I couldn't explain it. I thought people
would think I was crazy.
A few months later, a friend came into town for a wedding and spent the night with me. She and I stayed up very late talking about all kinds of things, and she brought up some topic related to spiritual warfare. We got to talking further, and I finally told her of my experience. Amazingly enough, she did not think I was crazy, and we talked more about such stuff into the night.
After that, life went on with no further events of that nature. The next year, I became engaged to the guy I had dated for so long. I stayed with some friends for about a month or so before our wedding. One night, I was a little bored, so I started reading a book my friend had. The book was Hunt and McMahon's "The Seduction of Christianity". That book opened my eyes to the New Age & occultism and all that that entailed (including UFOs). After reading that book, I wanted to know more about spiritual warfare, from a Christian perspective, of course, so I spent the next couple of years reading everything I could find. Right after the wedding, we moved to Kentucky for a year. Then we moved back to North Carolina. A few months after we returned to North Carolina 9in 1987), I started having more experiences where I would wake up with the paralysis effect. Sometimes, I would hear a wave of sound wash over me - kind of sounded like many voices a! ll talking at once, and I couldn't make out what it was saying. The first time it happened, I thought there was a party in the apartment next door because the voices seemed to come from there. But then the voices started moving, and it washed over me like a wave, bringing on the paralysis. This happened several times over the next two years, BUT, I had done my homework, and I knew not only the source of the problem but the solution. I knew that this was some sort of demonic attack on me, and I knew that the only way to stop it was to call upon the name of Jesus and to engage in spiritual warfare. One night, I woke up to find myself sleeping on my left side. Suddenly, I heard a snarl or growling directly behind my right ear, and I immediately knew what it was. My dog heard it, too, as he got up from the floor on the other side of the bed and came around to my side to see what was going on. My husband, on the other hand, heard nothing.
It got to the point that when this would happen and wake me up in the middle of the night, I just got very annoyed with these demons. But commanding them to leave Jesus' name was all it took to stop the attacks. I still to this day do not know the exact reason for why these events happened. i assumed that part of the reason may have been a doorway opened by my interest in UFOs and other things of an occult nature (that I didn't know were of the occult in my youth) when I was younger. I learned to close those doorways through prayer and renounced all involvement in anything I could remember. Later, I wasn't sure if the attacks came because of my intense study of spiritual warfare - as if the demons did not want me to learn all I was picking up in study of God's Word and other books. But eventually the attacks stopped. Somewhere down the road, it suddenly dawned on me that my experiences were very similar to many of the UFO abduction cases I had r! ead about, and I came to the conclusion that UFOs had to be demonic in nature rather than extraterrestrial. I have no doubt in my mind that if I had not learned to call on the Lord to stop the attacks, I probably would have been an abductee statistic.
In the last several years, I've been thrilled to see a number of books written from a Christian perspective drawing the same conclusions. God's Word calls Satan "prince of the power of the air", and it was amazing to me that other Christians didn't seem to connect the two. And I wondered why no one else seemed to have figured out how to stop the attacks, especially if one were a Christian. I realized through later study that, as you have stated, it isn't often that a devout Christian experiences such attacks. Through the years, I have shared my experiences, as God led, with people who seemed interested or who needed to know what the truth is behind the UFO phenomenon. And I've been able to share with even more folks in the last year or so as Christians and nonChristians alike understand the reality of the UFO phenomenon.
Thank you for the testimony and witness of your web site and for the work you are doing! If there is ever anything I can do to help with your work, please feel free to ask! I love to do research and would be glad to help in any way I can.
Blessings in Jesus' Name!
