Roswell UFO Crash Site Photos
There are at least three popularly
recognized "crash sites." The general public is
less aware of this, but many researchers note that the craft probably "skipped"
near Roswell, leaving debris, but regaining altitude and finally crashing in
Corona NM, appx 45 miles from its initial "crash." The photos below are from the
debris field nearest Roswell, designated by the city as "the" crash site.

The first picture is from a location about
30 minutes north of town on HWY 285 (aka Main Street),
between mile markers 132
and 133. Similar pictures can be taken by anybody from the highway, simply by pulling
over. NOTE: Sign has been removed :(

Also from the highway, just a little closer
to town, is the entrance to Hub Corn's residence
(now owns the land rancher Mac Brazel led the sheriff to (as detailed at
roswellufocrash.com).

When you turn in at the sign (picture 1), a
gravel road will lead you here, after a few miles.
This was the more popular
road to the crash site...

...but a close up reveals that this route
is no longer open to the public.

Fortunately, I had a guide - a lifetime
Roswell resident that knows an alternate route!
IF you know what you are doing, the
crash site can be reached staying on BLM
(public) land.

It must be noted that this road is extremely
treacherous, requires a 4-wheel drive
vehicle, is full of forks and absolutely
should not be attempted if you are not familiar with the territory! Care should
be taken or you may inadvertently end up having to
donate car parts to Roswell, New
Mexico that you can no longer use in your vehicle. You will get
lost, and run out of gas in a place cell phones don't generally work.
Those familiar with the story (www.roswellufocrash.com)
know that the crash occurred on a sheep ranch.
I saw these en route to the site. In 1947, the sheep reportedly would not go
near the wreckage.

About 1 hour of off-road driving brings you
to this unassuming marker.

But BE CAREFUL walking around there!

The shed, old truck and large stone markers were
placed here for the 1997 UFO Festival.

Finally, you begin a trek towards where the debris was
found...

A stone monument marks the spot

There is an inscription on top

WE DON'T KNOW WHO THEY WERE
WE DON'T KNOW WHY THEY CAME
WE ONLY KNOW
THEY CHANGED OUR VIEW OF THE UNIVERSE
THIS UNIVERSAL SACRED SITE
IS DEDICATED JULY 1997
TO THE BEINGS
WHO MET THEIR DESTINIES
NEAR ROSWELL NEW MEXICO
JULY 1947
The "beings" actually looked more like this however,
Drawn in 1947 by Frank Kaufman of the 509th,
who (with Robert Shirkey) participated in the clean-up.

Shirkey & Kaufmann told their stories in 1999 in the
book
"I Was There" & the video "We Were There."
